Hi, my name is Alyssa, I will be your photographer!

I would like to tell you a bit about me in order to give you the best experience during this session, I am from new mexico, I just moved to Indiana in may of this year. 

I am a Christian, I believe that my purpose in life is to capture Agape through my lens.

I want to give every client an experience that is unique and special and have noticed that having music changes a session and engages little ones especially,

I do have a broad taste of music so I hope we have fun. I'm from the West, (think Texas area.)

I have been told and I take pride in being told that I have a "different perspective on the world." I wasn’t always sure what that meant and I can't say that I fully do, but when I am behind my camera, It's not of my own understanding. See any photographer will tell you “it's all about timing” and that is exactly the point. I can't plan exactly what I will capture because it all belongs to HIM. I cannot pretend for a second that I am the reason that this moment happens, that each part fell perfectly in place at exactly the time my finger finished pressing the trigger (that's my own term, not the technical term, yes I know it may seem strange but again, from the west and we call it “Shooting/ Photo-shoots) - Anyways, Only HE could ever be in control, especially for allowing me to be the one here when there are so many others. Even when I am ‘shooting’ with someone else, we always seem to have different perspectives of the same moment. It's always been interesting to me that you can have two photographers at the same event, focusing on the same thing / person but each will take incredibly different photos. Sometimes I wonder if photographers have their own dimensions.

At times it feels like I am not in control of my photography and over the years as I've grown in skill and my faith, I have come to realize that I am not. I wear eyeglasses and without them, things are blurry, but when I have my camera, my vision seems to "clear up" and I know that sounds crazy but if you see me shooting, you will notice that i have my glasses on top of my head because when I wear them and look through my viewfinder, I cannot see very well.

This is why I believe that my vision is God's Agape (God's love). I have been a freelance photographer since 2020 and have captured many sessions ranging from models, families, cars / automotive photography, events such as quinceaneras and weddings, I even spent some time working with my hometown newspaper The Roswell Daily Record & have been accredited by the NMAA taking photos of children's sports.

With all of this being said, I am grateful and excited for this session and for what God has Dunn 😉
